Astute Hospitalist Consulting, LLC was founded by Dr. Timothy Hill, MD to provide medical expert witness services.

Dr. Hill is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, who has practiced inpatient clinical medicine since 2008. Dr. Hill also earned a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Informatics in 2013.

Dr. Hill is the Chief Health Information Officer at OHSU Adventist Health Portland Medical Center where he is in charge of clinical aspects of the Electronic Health Record which pertain to physicians. He is proficient in the usage of Cerner and Epic and received certification as an Epic Physician Builder in 2019.

Dr. Hill also is Chair of the Department of Medicine. In this role he supervises the development of policies, procedures and credentialing standards for multiple medical specialties including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Critical Care, Nephrology, Gastroenterology and Neurology. He is also responsible for oversight of initiatives to improve patient safety such as peer review and ongoing peer professional evaluation.
